Minister Murphy Leads Northern Ireland Tourism Drive at Showcase Events

Tourism Ireland, together with Conor Murphy MLA, Minister for Economy, recently completed a successful tourism drive in Chicago and Toronto. The aim of the events was to highlight the many great things to see and do in Northern Ireland, and to encourage more people from North America to visit.

Chicago Event

The Chicago event, a showcase for tourism businesses from across Northern Ireland, took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Over 100 key travel agents and tour operators from the Midwest attended the event, along with members of the media and the local Irish community.

Toronto Event

The Toronto event took place at the Royal Ontario Museum, and welcomed over 200 guests from the travel industry and media.

Minister Murphy's Speech

At both events, Minister Murphy spoke about the importance of tourism to Northern Ireland's economy. He highlighted the many great things to see and do in Northern Ireland, from its stunning scenery and world-class attractions to its vibrant cities and friendly people.

Positive Feedback

The feedback from both events was extremely positive. Travel agents and tour operators were very impressed with what they heard and saw, and said they were keen to learn more about Northern Ireland and to promote it to their clients.

Upcoming Events

Tourism Ireland has a number of other events planned in North America in the coming months, including a roadshow in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. These events will provide an excellent opportunity to further promote Northern Ireland as a great place to visit.
